Your Municipal School Board

I have been an educator for 15 years and an administrator for 9 of those years.  I started as an administrator at Medway Middle School, where I worked as both the principal and superintendent.  I became the superintendent for Burlington after the withdrawal in 2017.  I currently work as the assistant superintendent in RSU#3, in Unity, Maine.  I live in central Maine and enjoy spending time with my family.

Dawn Blanchard

Superintendant

Maureen Bean was born in Lincoln, Maine, and educated in the Lincoln school system.  After graduating from Mattanawcook Academy, she attended college in South Carolina. Education has always been an important part of her life; she has been a classroom teacher in the following states: Florida, Georgia and Texas. Retirement brought her back to Maine, where she calls Burlington her home.

Maureen Bean

Chair

I have lived in Burlington since 2012.  I attended both the Patten and Howland school districts growing up, graduating from Penobscot Valley High School in 1999.  I am currently a Kindergarten teacher with the Greenbush School Department.  I hold degrees in Theological Studies, English Literature, and Secondary Education.  I love being outdoors, history, music, books, and spending time with my children!
